Design Engineering Technology (DET)

The Design Engineering Technology (DET) program teaches you a broad range of technical skills that prepare you for a rewarding career in mechanical design and design engineering technology. DET professionals use their skills to create new products, improve existing products, and solve engineering problems. Design engineering technology course work focuses on the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software to teach the engineering design process, principles of design for manufacturing, and creation of engineering drawings. As a design engineering technology student you will use CAD software as a tool for developing design solutions.
