Civil and Sustainability Engineering

Civil and Sustainability Engineering graduates have the potential for professional engineering licensure and employment throughout the United States. A wide variety of positions are available in small and large engineering design firms; construction companies; municipalities; state and federal agencies; and the military. Civil and Sustainability Engineering serves the basic needs of society through the planning, design, and construction of buildings, roads, bridges, water and wastewater distribution and treatment systems, stormwater management systems, landfills, water pollution control, and the cleanup of contaminated soils and groundwater. Resource and energy conservation, reuse and recycling of materials, and protection of public health and the environment are intrinsic to the program.
