Welcome to the Mapping Application Resource Center

July 1st, 2017, the Mid-America Remote sensing Center (马克) was rechristened as the "Mapping Applications Resource Center." Geospatial technologies have progressed in fantastic ways since 马克 was originally founded in 1979. Our renaming is to better communicate the variety of spatial endeavors 穆雷 State University faculty, staff, and student engage in and the services we offer. Remote sensing of the environment will always be an important component of our educational and re搜索 efforts but we encompass many more spatial technologies, methods, and techniques.

马克 is the heart of geospatial education for 穆雷 State University and surrounding community. We invite all to engage with 马克 to further your education in one of the fastest growing employment sectors in the North America and Europe: geospatial technologies.

Esri and ArcGIS Support

马克 supports the use of Esri ArcGIS products across campus. 穆雷 State/马克 partners with Kentucky's Council on Post-secondary Education (CPE) and Esri to help bring the industry-leading geospatial software products to 穆雷 State.

Beginning Fall 2021 穆雷 State faculty, staff, and students can use their 穆雷 State credentials to gain access to our ArcGIS Online for Education environment, including ArcGIS Pro.

Hexagon-ERDAS Imagine

马克 also supports Hexagon-ERDAS Imagine Professional image processing software. 穆雷 State/马克 does not have a campus-wide license for Imagine, so users must be enrolled in one of the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences remote sensing courses to gain access to the software.

For students, we do have a limited number of student licenses. Requests for the licenses must be initiated by the course professor or faculty/staff mentor.
